UPDATE ANDROID ONE SMARTPHONE WITH OFFICIAL ANDROID 5.1 LOLLIPOP UPDATE

Android 5.1 Official update is now being officially rolled out for Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream Uno Android One Devices. For those users who haven’t yet received OTA update yet, can go ahead and apply this update manually. So let’s check out on what are the quick pre-requisites which you need to follow before we slip into the detailed guide which will help you update the device.

Note: Applying this update won’t void the warranty or root the device in any manner as this is the official firmware update.

STEPS TO INSTALL OFFICIAL ANDROID 5.1 LOLLIPOP UPDATE:

1. Download update zip file for your device from the link given below and place it on your memory card.
   Micromax Canvas A1
   Karbonn Sparkle V
   Spice Dream Uno
2. Flash the Stock Recovery, if you have flashed any custom recovery.
   Note-Skip this step, if you haven’t flashed any custom recovery.
3. Now switch off your mobile and hold the power button + volume up button until you get the (boot loader) menu.
4. Then use the volume up button and point to the recovery option.
5. Then press the volume down button.
6. You’ll now see a bot lying down with ‘!’ mark.
   Now hold the power button +volume up button, you’ll now see a Recovery Menu.
7. Head to the “Apply update from SD Card” using volume down button and select it using the power button. Select the zip file you downloaded using the volume up or down keys and choose it by pressing power button.

That’s it! Now select the “reboot system option” and wait for a few minutes to let the phone boot. Now you’re ready to go with lollipop
